Drakkar fracas

DRAKKAR FRACAS

A Viking sailor returned home after a year of raping and pillaging and found his name had been removed from the town register, so he sent his wife to the Town Hall to lodge to complain.

She was a feisty woman and the poor clerk was terrified, apologising profusely and saying, "I must have taken Leif off my census."
