A Saltire and flattery

A SALTIRE AND FLATTERY

My curiosity got the better of me when I saw a young couple on the train yesterday. The wife had what looked like half a St. Andrew's Cross tattooed on the right side of her face, while her husband had the other half on the left side of his face.

"Hello, I'm Will. I hope you don't mind me asking, but why do you seem to have just half a flag each on your faces?"

"We're Millicent and Terence. Two proud Scots from the capital of our nation and we love our country as well as each other, so we thought we'd have the flag done in a way that when we kiss, the two halves of the flag join up! We call it the Edinburgh Millie-Terry Tattoo."
