SUPPORTING EVIDENCE
The tax inspector was giving the elderly businessman a really hard time, suspecting he was taking advantage of frequent overseas trips to hide the extent of his earnings.
"So, Mr Jones, I see that in the past fiscal year you submitted a large medical expense claim for a hernia contracted while visiting Jersey?"
"Yes, I did," said Mr Jones, "but after consulting the finest specialists, they suggested that at my age I wear a surgical applicance rather than undergo an operation."
"Aha!", said the tax inspector. "So you admit having an offshore truss?"
