CARDIGAN ERROR
I wanted to buy my wife some beautiful knitwear for her birthday and I'd found a pretty handmade jacket that I knew she would love. However I thought it was a bit too simple for a special gift, so I asked if I could have a little extra decorative needlework around the collar and on the sleeves.
When I went to pick it up it looked perfect, but on the bill there was an extra £200 added to the agreed price, which seemed a bit steep.
"What's this for?", I asked the seamstress.
"That's for the extra work," she said. "The charge of the light brocade."
