CAUSING A TERRIBLE HOOPLA
Two rival croquet teams from Sheffield have been suspended after a major incident at the Yorkshire County Championships.
After several acrimonious exchanges during a close-fought match, both teams began throwing bread-rolls and other food at each other during the lunch-time break.
"It was awful, simply awful," said the tea lady. "All that food - it was like something from a Sam Peckinpah movie. You know the one - Bunfight at the Croquet Corral."
