BILL SMACKERS WILL BE PROSECUTED?
When Bill Clinton became President of the United States, his daughter Chelsea was barely a teenager and - like all teenagers - was sometimes rather surly.
On the day Bill first received the British Ambassador in the Oval Office Chelsea walked in and was introduced to the diplomat. To Bill's annoyance she barely acknowledged his guest, so thinking he would impress the Englishman with some good old-fashioned discipline, he put Chelsea across his knee for a few light smacks on the behind.
"Mr President," cried the British Ambassador, who had acquired a solid understanding of American vernacular, "please, no! As an Englishman I must tell that you simply cannot beat a Chelsea bun."
