One of my rasher decisions

ONE OF MY RASHER DECISIONS

My prize boar has fathered hundreds of offspring in his time at stud, but he's getting past his prime so last week I decided to take him off the abattoir.

I thought once we got there and he could hear all the other pigs squealing as they went to their death that he might get rather agitated, but he was completely calm, looked straight ahead and never batted an eyelid.

I was so surprised that I mentioned it to the bloke driving the pigs inside. Perhaps understandably he was unmoved by my remark: "You know what they say guv - you can lead a boar to slaughter but you can't make him blink."
